Need to build a new system. What's out there?

Hi, I haven't put together a new computer in about 2+ years now, So I need to know what is out there tech wise, meaning what is good, and what is cheap/crap I would need: Cpu, motherboard, RAM, Video card, Hard drive I think stuff is all PCI-express and serial or whatever hard drives...

mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930 sb problems?

Well I lowered both my super bright modes from what they started out at contrast/brightness wise. I use the #1 for dvd movies and 2 for games. works well so far...only had the monitor 2 days though.

Nero6 conflict with windows messenger/Outlook express???

Ok...I bought a DVD burner. Previously I had a CDRW and used nero 5.5 Apparently 5.5 doesn't support burning dvd's in general, or my drive(NEC ND-2510A). I preferred nero over the roxio that came with my CDRW so I downloaded the nero6 demo to try it out, I like it, and would prefer it over...

why do game makers make you have the cd in your tray when gaming?

I used Discdump (1.4.1) to rip it, daemon tools (3.44) to mount, no problems. (both those programs are free btw)

Raid 0, When I get new motherboard/raid card will I need to reformat or whatever?

Currently have Asus P4B533-E with 2 drives in Raid 0 using the onboard raid. I'll probally be upgrading this fall, was just curious if that would require a reformat and redoing the raid or whatever, or if there is some standard where it would work if I just plugged them in(I'm guessing probally...

Battlefield Vietnam Stinks.

It took me a few days to adjust...but now I can control the helis better than I ever could in DC....I was flying at about 10 feet over enemy bases, between trees, capping the flag and killing anybody that spawned....quite fun...My landings are improving all the time, I was overshooting at first...

Such as Ipod and the dell one?(also are there any other recommended?) EAC= Exact Audio copy Lame=Lame 3.92 Using variable bitrate. I rip my CDs using this and it seems to sound/work best in winamp...but wondering if mp3 players handle it fine. Also are there any players that are...

Any new kick-ass Star Wars PC games scheduled??

There is a BF1942 like star wars game coming out, and a shooter that is a cross between rainbow six games and halo. those being Starwars Battlefront, and Republic Commando. Their is a rumor of a KOTOR sequel, which makes since with how successful it was, but that's probally a long way off...
