Low Level format and Boot-sec virus

I mucked around with my partitions and MBR too much...

Or you can use Delpart. A dos based utility you can use with a dos boot disk that will wipe UNIX and NTFS partitions. Then repartition with your normal method.

Are you sure you have the HD connected to primary IDE0? Go into the BIOS, is it autodetecting your HD properly on boot up? If both of those are OK, try to boot from the WinNT CD, your MBR may need repaired/NTLDR may need reconfigured.

Writing perl/cgi scripts

Are you using Apache as your webserver? If so put the cgi-script in your cgi-bin directory. Should be next to your html root directory. Cgi scripts won't necessarily run anywhere. You either have to set up a specific directory ( cgi-bin is usually default ) and/or map a certain extension like...

Building a MicroATX low-profile i815 server... component advice?

Give the 3-Com a shot and if you have a conflict just plug it into anther slot... oops you only have one;) I've been thinking about getting myself some nice 2U rackmount cases and a mini-rack. I can't stand the space my towers take up now. I don't use that many PCI slots anyway...

WOW, Anand can't win :disgust: He includes SPEC, one of the most respected benchmark's in the industry, for the DDR review and the Athlon obliterates the PIII in that benchmark. The next thing you know people are calling him an Intel sheep for including it. I have read many hardware review...
