Can I just "plug n play" an eSATA drive?

I actually have the same enclosure with a Seagate 7200.10 running on the same MB and Vista x64. First i plugged the bracket into the Intel SATA ports and did not get the "Safely remove hardware"option in Vista. So I shutdown my computer and plugged the bracket into the Gigabyte SATA ports...

Cannot figure out this simple problem for the life of me

IIRC, i just setup Vista again last night and this is what i think. What happened is that when you first did the redirect, you didn't click on the Yes move all files. The warning on that popup said that if you click No and have existing files in that folder, you will have a duplicate shortcut.

So, you guys may remember that my garage door got smashed halloween night. Old thread What we did was we replaced that garage door, which ended up costing about $600. So, after that, we moved out of that house into our new house about 30minutes away. We are in the middle of cleaning up...
