Heh ....
I have a quick detach system which you don't see in the posted pics (although you would see with the website). Only involves removing a few screws and its completely transportable with no spilling. Very good system.
Thank god, because I've hauled it from PA to KY for a lan...
Memory timings are more important for AMD systems than Intel, so if you're running a P4 I'd say don't bother paying extra, really. But Nick is right, you can probably pull of 3200 speeds at CAS 2 on that 2700Cas2, thats just the way it works.
Apparently, you are misinformed. The Raptor is built off of an older SCSI platform. The hardware is identical, the interface is different. That is where the two technologies differ. I can do more research and find out more info if you're still skeptical.
My Win2K reference was about the...
The 15k.3 and the WD 10K are a different class altogether. WAYYY different.
And you will have no real need for u320 unless you're pushing that much bandwidth .... like in a RAID array, otherwise no. The 15k.3, although fast, only pushes 80MB/s on the outer platters. Don't bother.

I got my Atlas 10K II a while ago (damn! no rebate for me!) and its a dream. It performs flawlessly, and DAMN games start fast. Its a lot of fun ripping CD's to the hard drive and then running them from there. It makes load times blazing fast when a game (no matter the install size) seeks to...
That full-tower case . . . it would be pretty decent for some heavy duty work if you stuck an 80 or 120mm fan in front of the lower hard drive bays. It'd take the place of my "omg, wtf is jutting out of your computer" I-Storm-II (Its one of THE best coolers you can get, and damn it...
That'll kill your hard drive very very quickly. Even if it doesn't I'm sure after a time you'll get decreased performance because of all the vibration.
Jesus, I can't believe there isn't more of a reaction to this! This is one BLAZING hot deal! Normal prices for PC1600 won't come this low for a loooong time, let alone the sky-high prices they are right now. Check out the prices for the 256 module! Its only $10 more than two 128 meg chips...
