GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 Takes forever to come out of suspend

I have this mobo and an Intel x25 ssd, and have not experienced the problem. Hard to know where the weak link is without the full system specs.

    Review this 650$ build

Exceptional mid range != unequivocally exceptional. Will it play his games well at 1080? Sure, with settings fairly high and everything. Is it better than what ~75% of people are using? According to Steam, sure. I'd still only call it the upper end of average for the current generation of cards...

    Review this 650$ build

Agreed. I was playing almost every game I own at 1920x1200 with an i7 920 and an Ati 4870 until January of this year. That included Crysis, Starcraft 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Borderlands, etc, etc with fairly high settings but no AA with very playable framerates. Since then I've upgraded to a 6950 and...

    New Gaming PC Build

If you're looking for a wireless NIC, I'd strongly suggest getting a USB adapter instead of a PCI or PCIe internal card. I'm running the Z68-UD4, and my PCI wireless card was causing massive stuttering in Windows as well as games. After disabling the card and running some cat-5 into the room, it...

    1K build -- Just need a check-in (thanks!)

If you're making a $1000 investment, including a ~$200 outlay on the processor alone, there's no harm in suggesting a ~$20-$30 (I got my Gaia for $20 after discounts on Newegg) extra to protect said investment. If you're already paying extra for a K-series chip, it seems to me (IMO) like a waste...

i5 2500k owners, is everything OK?

I'm running my 2500k on the Gigabyte Z68-UD4, and other than an issue with my wireless-n PCI card, it's been completely headache-free. Running at 4.4ghz with temps hovering in the mid-50's and topping out about 62c. I've heard some people have been having trouble with their boards, but based on...

8-core Zambezi confirmed to be priced approx. $300

Does this mean we get to look forward to another new thread when they 'offically' narrow it down to a $20 aproximation?

    LGA2011 Core i7-3960X

And features. Number of USB 2/3 ports, included Firewire or eSATA, number of PCI-E 16x slots, bluetooth, etc etc. The biggest performance difference that I found when I was recently in the market for a new 1155 board was number/size of heatsinks and heat pipes to theoretically allow for better...

Gigabyte z68-UD4-B3 BIOS - no GUI

I just got this board not too long ago, and really apreciate Gigabyte using the old style bios. I just don't see the point of the fancy uefi, except for the 3TB+ drive support which is supported by the UD4 anyway. The Touch Bios software is a nice bonus, although it could use a little bit of...

    i5 2500k vs i7 860

Yeah, the Gaia's been pretty great so far. A lot cheaper than the CM Hyper212+ currently, as well. I want to install a second fan on it to see how well the push/pull setup does for temps.

    So... am I OCed?

Use a program like CPUZ to track your processor information. While at idle it should list it at 1.6ghz. Once you put some load on the cpu (say converting a music file or something), it should throttle up to the turbo speed. You can see it happen in real time using CPUZ.

Fudzilla: Bulldozer performance figures are in

That PC you're rockin' in your sig is rad. How many FPS do you get in qtest DM1? Oh, and on topic, I tend to game more than any other intensive task, I usually go through a video card every two years or so. I can put up with being a generation behind the curve, but two is just too much.

    Just swapped my 1090T for a 2500K

I think you're being a bit literal with what I'm saying. This does not reflect my personal view on the matter. Just my interpretation of what the previous poster was saying. I don't have a stake one way or the other in the argument, don't have a bunch of similar but different hardware sitting...
