System build issue

Ya...I paid for teh system, so I wasnt goingt o blow to much on it. Why I am stumped is because it works in my wife's computer, and my wife's vid card works in this one. I am really leaning toward soem kind of hardware conflict, but just can't figur eout what it may be.

CPU and memeory are matched in speed. I have a router with a built in firewall. Anyone else have an idea?

Ram is DDR 400 but I am running it at 333. I havent installed the Antivirus/Firewall/Adware ect yet. Only plac ei have had it online thus far for is to get teh ATI drivers. I encountered thsi problem prior to having a internet conection even set up. I also forgot ot mention. I thought I may...

22" CRT - Viewsonic or NEC/Mitsu?

I have had both..have teh viewsonic now. The NEC/Mitsu Diamondtron is worth the extra money. I had a Mitsu, but as stated teh NEC is the same monitor. The colors in the Diamondtron are richer and deeper. Though I like my Viewsonic alot, it looks washed out in comparison to my Old Mitsu.

Just did a frsh install, having issues

On the reviews I have thus far read on teh DFI Lan Party say that it is by far teh best board you can buy for the AMD64.

Installing windows XP on a SATA drive

My main drive is nosing up. I tried to do an insatll on my back up drive, but when it attempts to install it says there are no drives present. I switched them back to main and backup and got teh same message. I thus deducted (I had to throw in a big word here to sound marginally intelligent...

Suggestions for Headphones...?

I had a pair of Koss a couple of years ago. They were really affordable, and had the big ear muffs you looking for. They did however have a mic. They lasted for around 2 years, then my then 3 year old got a hold of them. I was more than satisfied with them. I'm sure they don't hold up in...

Video Editing system

I have a nephew who is starting a video creation/editing company. He is a poor student so I am going to buuid him a system I fgured someoen out here could toss me some suggestions on what to buy and build him. I'm looking for otions both in the entry level and mid level.

POLL-Help me decide on new PSU

Saw your otrher post..replying to this one. I plug thsi PSU all the time. It is high quality, has gotten great reviews, and is a steal for the price. I have oen and love it. 500w

What do you do with your old parts?

I build beat up game servers for lans and such. Sometimes i do teh afore mentioned frankenstien build and send ti to a family member.
