Gaming mouse

I have the Razer Imperator and I love it. I play wide variety of games WoW, Fallout series, MassEffect, Star Craft II. I came from an old wireless logitech, but so far I've been very impressed.

Do these temps seem about average...

I'm wondering if the hyper212 isn't on quite right? I did the whole, spread some arctic silver 5 to fill in the grooves, made by the heat pipes and used the rice size spot on CPU. If its acceptable I'll probably just leave it as is.

CM 690 with 1 extra intake and exhaust. CPU: Core i5 760 @3.3ghz HSF: Hyper 212+ Idle: 28-29C (according to CoreTemp) Load: 58C Highest shown (After running Intelburntest 3x) Should these be lower, higher? I have a feeling these are well within acceptable but I'd just like to get some...

Wow, now I feel even dumber! lol. I just remember the old days, if that fan didn't spin when you powered up, then shut her down b/c its gonna fry. I'll swap it back and see what happens.

After some troubleshooting and stupidity on my part, new rig is up and running. I wanna thank everyone who helped out, mfenn, blackmage, and Boomer D. Specs are in my sig now :biggrin:... and it runs like a champ. Turned WoW to 1920x1080, Ultra settings, it sits at 60fps according to WoW in...

New build will not power up...

Took PSU, mobo, out of case. Plugged in both power connectors, no light on mobo, no cpu fan spin or PSU fan spin... Would my heatsink cause this problem...Im pretty sure its installed correctly, but for the sake of troubleshooting, should I take it off and reseat?

New build will not power up...

Ok, I used a paperclip to jump the green and black wires and the fan spins.. I took the video card out, and left everything else plugged in, still no light on mobo, no cpu fan spin... Gonna take it all out of the case, see if its a grounding/short issue... update coming.. oh and Thank you for...

New build will not power up...

I have the PSU plugged in, both power cords are plugged in...2x4 12v power and 2x12 Main Power... Right now I have no light on mobo, nothing.. If I took the PSU out and plugged it into the wall while hooked up to nothing and turn it on, should the fans on it spin? Corsair 550w psu, gigabyte...

Good 1156 mobos that aren't expensive?

@Brencat You mentioned yours doesn't have Sata 6gb/s...if I was wanting to add a SSD later down the road, thinking around March-ish, should I be sure that whatever mobo I choose have Sata 6 or will it make that big of a difference? Really sorry btw, not trying to hijack a thread or anything...

Good 1156 mobos that aren't expensive?

Well, damn! lol. I've got everything I need for my new rig except mobo/OS. I was leaning towards ASUS P7P55D-E LX or GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA but they are the under $200 variant so I should just wait for rev 2.0??

New build please help! :)

I dodged that "future crossfire" trap myself, which if I remember was thanks to mfenn. Settled with good mobo, 550w psu, used those savings towards a hd5870 on sale and nice 23" HD monitor. :biggrin: MORE than pleased.

Just to be sure I'm understanding....

Bad build example thread.
