i have the same problem! its very annoying! i liked the desktop shortcut and i visit my nvidia control panel frequently!
it started for me after i updated to the latest driver (release date may 6 '09) 185.85
i have a core i7 with 6 gigs! some script is hanging massively!
edit - it still...
k well i did a bit of research and found out the following:
GeForce GTX 260 has a max TDP of 182W
Intel Core i7 920 has a max TDP of 130W
On top of that I have a 6GB Tri-channel ddr3 kit, which I assume shouldnt use more in the worst case scenario than 50W, if at all.
Then there are 2...
thanks gary, but i've seen that post, and it only applies to the 295, unfortunately.
when i install drivers, both are detected in device manager and nvidia CP, just can't enable SLI.
only drivers 18x.xx and up support SLI on the x58.
SO far i've tried 180.48 and 181.22. I'm going to try...
I bought another GTX 260 (216sp) and popped it in today.
Windows found it and I set up SLI in a blast and everything was dandy.
Then I restarted and I got error code 43. Device driver failed to load.
Reinstalling the driver will allow the driver to work again, but then SLI cannot be enabled...
I am also having this problem (with GTX 260s)
tried aboslutely everything. several reinstalls with safemode driver cleaning
swapping out the cards etc, trying different driver version
bios updates.. you name it
I cannot get SLI to run.. I just bought a second card and its useless. This...

- no-one knows of a good radiator that would fit at the top fan holder int he Tt armor case?
would a 80mm radiator perhaps fit? can anyone who has this case and good judgement let me know their opinion?
or know of a radiator with these exact dimensions? (92x92x25)!
in every other game it does, and even in wc3 if i dont alt-tab at all.
plus in warcraft you dont need a high framerate. its an old strategy game, not cutting edge First person shooter.
im sure we can both agree that a game like battlfield 2 or fear will tax my machine and produce more heat...
There is a registry mod for wacraft 3 that allows users with a widescreen display to not have a horrific stretched picture.
It's quite simple, you just go into the registry and find resheight and reswidth and change them. Without this, WC3 does not support Wide resoultions.
However I've...
i appreciate the suggestion, but I am looking for an in-case 92mm radiator.
I do want a lower water temperature, yes, but I also go to many LAN parties and my case is a very mobile one, and I can't drag something like that along with me.
i don't see how that would work. can you be more precise?
getting a fan on this radiator is not the top priority. instead i just need one that will fit at the 92mm spot at the top of my case.
