So are the 15W A10-8700P's worth it for the money? My needs are just general use and light gaming. Or is Intel a no-brainer on a cost:performance basis?
Is there a 35W Lenovo Bristol model out somewhere? Not seeing one but I suck at finding these things.
I really wish there was a 35W 17" screen model...
What's the difference of Bristol Ridge over Carizzo? DDR4 memory support and a bump in frequency?
Hmm, it says release is June 2016... Anyone see any of them on the market yet?
Edit: Here's one.

How do I tell TDP, memory...
I'm shopping around for an AMD laptop and from what I can tell almost all of them are throttled down to 15W. Info on TDP can be difficult to come by. From what I can tell Lenovo had a 35W model but that info comes from forum posts that are nearly one year old.
Does anyone know if there are...
Historically I've used AMD CPUs in media and modest gaming rigs if nothing else to support the little guy. I haven't built a machine in a few years though and now I'm about to build a mid-caliber gaming rig for our new 65" high-end Samsung TV in the basement.
Is there any reason to look at...
Yeah in CPU-Z when I overclock to 3.1 it shows all cores sitting at 3100 mhz and I have the elevated heat reading to show that it's not just a CPU-Z glitch. When it's not overclocked the cores drop back to something like 800/1600/2100 depending on the load. What kind of software problem could...
Well yeah, maybe I'm being unclear. I want Cool n Quiet to remain on because I have my fan speeds turned down for silent running. When CnQ turns off and all cores run at 100% my cpu runs hot and the fans end up turning on loudly.
The moment I change the multiplier from 30x to 31x, CnQ turns...
Holy cheapness Batman!
I'll get one as well once an ITX board is released. I wonder what happened to dual graphics though. I was hoping this generation of APU would make steps towards making that feature a little more usable but I don't see it talked about anywhere.
I'm not messing with the igpu at all, at least not right now.
So this is going to keep my cool n quiet on? By the way, that's not the BIOS I have. The one I have appears much simpler...
Noob question I guess. Whenever I overclock the CPU it turns off Cool n Quiet and all four cores run at full speed at all times, creating a lot of unnecessary heat and power usage. Is there something I'm missing here?
AsRock A75M-ITX board, 4 GB DDR3 ram, Windows 7 64 bit..... Thanks in...
