what's the minimum internet connection speed to take advantage of VOIP?

Which is why ADSL isn't so good. Here it's capped at 256K upstream,,, choppy at best.

pickin a chick up for a date...

I agree with Lola Wiz ... if it's a first date and she seems to want to meet you, don't press it... in fact it gives you and "out" too should it not be working well. That 10 minute drive can be much longer if you have to take her home. If you've been out before and she simply wants to be nice...

Dogs, which one am I wanting?

No doubt about it... Males are Smaller to Medium, Females run about 45 to 55 pounds. I raised them for 13 years. My Samantha was THE best dog I ever shared the planet with.... If the Spitz is too small, go for the Sammy ... I found my Spitz was highly protective though... too small...

Need Advice on Zone Files

Our company domain and our web domain are the same thing. If, while inside the company behind the router I wanted to go see our website, I can't. Basically it's a s though we're looking into a mirror. The host records point our online domain to our router's IP as it should.... Is there a way...

Windows 2000 Server Desktop gone

Thanks for trying... After four days I found a file: shdocvw.dll that had been rewritten from an older storage point... grabbing it from another server and replacing it did the trick... strange one because there's no sign as to why it corrupted in the first place. But the server is back up...

Three different accounts used to test. Explorer "pops" up and then disappears once more... can run anything from the command and run lines, except Iexplorer and Explorer. My concern is that the file itself may be damaged.. thanks though... still trying different htings again today.

Windows 2000 Server Desktop gone

Rebooted as usual at the end of the week. No updates done, nothing removed or added all week. Startbar and Desktop are gone. Explorer won't show up in Task Manager. If I try to launch it, no go. Aslo, two WINLOGONs in Task Manager/Processes each time I reboot. Checked for mIRC as per...

Parents Suing Nissan After Dad Accidentally Runs Over Their Daughter

No, had they tried to do something positive, they would not have had to include a lawsuit for money. They were complete and utter idiots. That's a TWO year old child we're talking about. That's negligence on the part of the parents.... I can imagine they're wracked with guilt and grief, Yes...

Replacing HD platters

Now THIS was an interesting thread.... one last thing that I've done... and I have several going back to a mamouth 25 Mb drive.... Open it until you have the platters exposed.... Polish the platters ... use them for bookends
