Invest in some high guage speaker wire (that you can return if it doesnt help) like monster cable.. if you use cheap speaker wire.. (just 2 wires, hardly insulated) then they act like a 300ohm antenna.. (monster rep told me this) and you get a BAD signal to noise ratio which can cause...

Thanks for the comments.. Torrid, SO, IF they replace the unit damaged due to shipping, or bad out of the box.. will they pay return shipping? a 25$ shipping charge (due to heavy box) would negate any saving you might have gotten on this deal.. I guess buyer beware.. cj
