Use of PCAV or multiple lasers for CD-writing?

I'm just beginning to wonder as the 20X CD-R drives start hitting the mainstream -- how much longer can you go with constant linear speed writing before you hit a wall? I know there is a rotational limit where the dyes begin to deform, and also physical limits where the disks actually shatter...

Win 2K questions. This is driving me nuts!!

I don't have Win2k installed at work, but I could have sworn there was a Beep thingie in there. Mainly because I had an issue at some point.. hmm.. maybe you had to do it through the registry... Try searching your registry for "beep" -- at some point I did it =) But I can't remember...

Win 2K questions. This is driving me nuts!!

Go to your MMC control for system services. Change the status of the system Beep service from Automatic to Manual. Then stop the service if you want.

Remounted with Arctic Silver, no change, is ok?

Can't burn a thing with Plextor 12/10/32A!!!!!!
