Inexpensive 2560x1440 or higher monitors?

I just thought of using a 52" display as a touch screen and started to cry. Using an iPad is a work out on an 9.7" screen. Touch screens sucks!! They only time a large touch screen would work is for a presentation, for production I think I'd kill myself.:(

What if Intel or AMD locked Nvidia out....?

So what if an AMD or Intel mobo would restrict the cpu to 1 of 6 cores if nV card is detected? Would that be legal? Could they blame it on bad drivers? The motherboard still works, just not optimized very well :)

Radeon 5450 output to Samsung HDTV, but 1080p desktop is larger than display area?

you still need to go into your tv's settings and change the HDMI input to PC mode (the input will still be HDMI). If you don't text will look like s#*t. I have a 46" samsung and this was driving me crazy

**thread name change* Nvidia and AMD moral and immoral business practices

I pretty new on the forum, and need clarification. Every laptop I know of has a GPU. So if the laptop lasts more then a year I should be happy to be on borrowed time since the warranty is over.

eyefinity help non gamer

I know you have to have 3 monitors at the same res. for gaming with eyefinity. For non gaming just to have extra screens would it be possible to do this: Dell 2408 @ 1920 x 1200 + 2 x dell 1708 @ 1280 x 1024 (I will use them is portrait 1024 x 1280) I can get a really good price on 2 x...

attaching 2560x1600 monitor to laptop

any recent mac laptop can do it with MINI displayport. I'm not to sure about HDMI some might work most will not. Some 1600P monitors will only accept that the res with the DP and DL DVI even if it has HDMI. It all depends which HDMI standard they are using 1.0, 1.1,1.3,1.4

CPU FAN noise in MC but not flash

Hello I just bought a used acer slimline x1800, it has a q8300 @ 2.5 and NV 7100 integrated I have it set up as a HTPC , During DVD playback in media center the fan revs up very loud every few minutes for a few minutes. In task manager there in almost no load on the system. I tested in it out...

Which ATI 5450 to get?

Hello everyone this is my first post I have 3 monitors, 3 x Dell 2408 I do not game and just want to hook up 3 displays. I have noticed all the ATI 5450 card have 1 VGA port, and none with 3 digital outputs. are they any 5450 cards out there without a VGA port, since I want to avoid...
