I took some new close ups and BioShock gaming footage of my monitor :) if somebody wants I can record some doom 3 footage tomorrow and post with my calibration guide off angle off angle lights off closeup closeup can you see the pixels? :P Bioshock first level

Mark do you know if adaptive vsync recognizes when the frame rate dips below a multiple of the refresh rate? I like to run the highest multiple that doesn't suffer fluctuations in order to always see the newest frame

Geez I hope not, I was just thinking if you halved the gray scale on the VX300 you could run 250Hz/500Hz at 18-bit!

Alot of work went into reducing the phosphor persistance on panasonic 3d plasmas, if I blink my eyes as I move the mouse there is many more trails visible on my trinitron than the plasma sitting right next to it, that is at 75hz, now imagine 125hz The technology is already here - every...

No problem :P at least someone is learning something Now I found something very interesting, this panel has a native refresh rate of 125Hz NOT 120Hz Why is that interesting? because it implies a faster drive than typical plasmas - 125 does not fit into 600Hz. Makes you wonder why they don't run...

The FB30DD3D board works by sending 60hz left and 60hz right frames directly to the monitor, in theory you could demux a 120Hz 2d signal and that would be that but it's an expensive bit of kit

As you know I'm having a some trouble with a bandwidth limitation (pixel clock cap) but I am trying to work around it and will keep everyone updated For those reading I am able to run 71hz@1920x1080 and 91hz@1440x1080 with 1:1 pixel mapping which is a big improvement and offers CRT level...

I've been looking at the pin out layouts of all the DVI add on boards and the 42TM6D conforms to the dual link spec so I went ahead and ordered it for 50 quid As far as 3D goes, the PF30, BT300 & VX300 are capable of 60hz/per eye but the PF50 leaves out any mention of simultaneous 3D...

I have just received the PF30 and there is some good news and some bad news Good news: these are true native 125hz panels, motion is fast with all input refresh rates and 4:4:4 works out of the box Bad news: the scaler expects a 165mhz pixel clock, one tap past that and the scaler makes a mess...

optical resolution (or sharpness) is a function of both resolution and contrast, they are interdependent and talking about one without the other is misleading at best If only I had a high speed camera I could show you guys that static resolution doesn't matter Thanks for that :wub:

Viewing distance will be a bit further than this until I wall mount it. 50 inch 1024x768 (rectangular pixels) from NEC How do I check for dropped frames? Monitors come in all sizes :)

I think it's basically see it to believe it with things like this When the screen is moving the plasma has the greater resolution, ever wonder why a 480i CRT can look so good with such little resolution
