What to expect with upcoming GTX 960

GM 107 is 640 SMs, GM204 is 2048. I would either expect a 2*GM107 (1280 SMs) or GM204/2 (1024 SMs). In either case hopefully nvidia goes with 3Gb/192-bit option for the memory. A 3GB 1024 SM maxwell card would do amazing in notebooks

Unless Nvidia releases a Maxwell based card that performs in the ballpark of 7870/270X or higher with similar $ and significantly lower power, there is absolutely no reason for AMD to be worried. Its not as if everyone here is desperate to get a 750Ti performance level card in their rig...

it basically looks 2X bonnaire and judging by the core numbers should perform about or better than the 280/7950. A lower powered, smaller die part for 200$?

Gt 840m and GT 850m

Hi, I am looking to buy either of 2 laptops. Zenbook UX32LN with an 840m or a ASUS N550Jk with an 850M. How do these cards stack up? Also, I am currently on a Radeon 4850 on a desktop. How much improvement will I see with either of them?
