Win XP and DLink Dl-704 Router

First time reinstalling my router after going to XP, and having issues. Can anyone walk me through what I should do to get it running. I'm on Cox High Speed. Any assistance would be greatlyappreciated.

Dell Axim Problems

I recently reinstalled WinXP on my Compaq Laptop. I made the mistake of plugging in my usb Cradle before installing ActiveSync. So now whenever I install ActiveSync and plug in my cradle it says "Usb Device may not function properly." Does anyone know if there is some step I need to take, or...

Flickering on LCD Monitor

i thought that . but it was workign fine until i reinstalled ZP, went from Home to Professional version. I know LCD's can be prone to flicker, compared to CRT. The lcd was working fine until i reinstalled. I checked different resolutions and refresh rates. Still there

Flickering on LCD Monitor

I recently purchased a Samsung Syncmaster 172N, my first LCD. I just reinstalled WinXP and am now getting some weird flicker on the screen that comes and goes, like horizontal ghosting lines. Checked the display drivers, (Compaq laptop, with Radeon Mobility) and am using the monitor drivers from...

Email in WinXP

Not currently running a router. the Firewall in XP is checked as disabled. Not running a third party firewall. I did notice it kind of freaked out when i uninstalled NAV 2002. I can receive, but not send now, checked all the mail settings. I assumed it was not any settings at isp, its cox...

Email in WinXP

Been having a weird problem. Every now and then Outlook just will not send an email. It is receiving them perfect, but will not send. The settings must be right, becasue it will send for a while then every couple weeks or so just not do it. Also get a problem where i cannot send files thru yahoo...

Sony SDM S71 Lcd

I recently purchased an LCD Sony SDM S71 17 inch. The monitor was showing odd colors at times, i realised it was the cable, i brought it in and they gave me a new calbe from Blekin. Question is, i am seeing much less crips edges, would i need a SONY brand cable, or would it not matter?

Installing Halflife in XP

Someone please help. I cannot get Halflife installed into Win XP. I've got a Presario 2800 laptop, and when i insert the cd it just hangs after selecting to install.

No video in IE in XP

When i click a link to play a video i get no view, audio will play but video will not. I can download videos and they play fine but refuse to play in IE

Cox Cable and DLink Router

Got a new laptop with XP on it, and havea dlink DL-704 router. I cannot get online with the router, if i plug the cable modem into the laptop, it automatically finds its way online, but for some reason it wont with the router. Someone please help me

Mag Innovision monitor and laptop

I recently picked up a cheap 19 inch to go with my laptop. Got a Mag Innovision 986FS, hooked up to a Compaq Laptop with a radeon 7500 32MB. The monitor is fairly blurry. I was trying to figure out if it is due to the output on a laptop not being that crisp, or if the monitor is crap?

PNY Compact Flash Reader

appreciate the reply. I plug my mouse and tablet into the usb port and both work fine so I m assuming that its the reader. My new laptop runs usb 2.0 but it should not matter right, everything is supposed to be backwards compatible?

PNY Compact Flash Reader

I recently bought a PNY Compact flash reader and cannot get it working in XP. It is supposed to use no drivers and be automatically installed as a removable drive, but when i plug the usb in i get nothing

Eudora seems to work fine. Guess its some typical MicroHell issue. At least I can send mail now, but I'd still like to get it fixed

Quick question. Where in the hell do i access the XP Firewall settings. When i set up my cable modem and router it said something about that but I cannot seem to find it. I went into LAN Connection Properties and the ICF is not enabled. I'm going to try a diff mail client now
