A8V rev 1 or 2?

I have ASUS A8V Deluxe motherboard and I was wondering what version. It came with bios 1006 and it says Rev.2 on motherboard itself. However, when I read info from Futuremark 3Dmark 05' it says Version Rev 1.xx What should I trust? Is there any other way to find out what rev...

Help me understand

What does that exactly mean? 3.0-4-4-4CL 2CMD Info from SiSoftware Sandra about my RAM. Can you tell generally if that is good memory? All I know is that it is Synchronous(??) DDR 400MHz Samsung or Micron. Any goog link where I can find explanation?

FX-55 processor to run completely stable at 2.8 GHz

Thanks guys. New Thermalright-XP-120 + Quiet Panaflo 120mm L1A is on the way. It should take care of temperatures. Until I get that no OC for me. Ohh.. Is it good idea to use thermal paste that comes with XP-120 or should I get Arctic Siver Ceramique Thermal Compound instead?

FX-55 processor to run completely stable at 2.8 GHz

I'm using ASUS A8V Deluxe. When I use 14 multiplier it will freeze in windows. I think my main problem is heat sink. I don't have any other explanation for 56C idle at 2600MHz, but unfortunately I don't have thermal paste here rigt now.

I will try to reinstall the heatsink. If that will not help to bring the temperatures down is xp-120 best thing to get as far as air cooling goes fo FX-55?

FSB at 200 and multiplier 14 doesn't work. It freezes in windows. I tried x13 and it seems to work now. I've lowered CPU voltage and I'm getting lower temperatures. 60C MAX under Prime95 torture test (3. one max heat... ) Should I be still concerned about this level of heat...

I've tried DIMM_B1 with no luck. It looks like mechBgon is right. :( Is there any way to update bios without CPU?

4GB of RAM

I know there is a lot of issues with 64bit windows right now. I am looking for setup that I can use for couple of years and don't touch it. In 1 year 64bit Windows might be pretty stable with a lot of drivers and applications as PS. Am I going to be able to find matching 2GB RAM stick a year...

OK.. SO there is 2GB limitation in 32bit Windows. How about Windows XP 64-Bit Edition? Can win 64bit access more than 2GB easily?

I am opened for suggestions. That's why I am here to ask people (professionals) for advise. I work with bigger files in Photoshop an I though that more RAM would help a little bit. In real world there is no use for 4GB for normal workstation?

I guess you can. Thi is quote frome Asus website. But !!! DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 non-ECC un-buffered DDR SDRAM memory you can use. (ASUS AV8 Deluxe motherboard) That is what I don't get. You can use up-to 4GB but only un-buffered Ram is supported. Everywhere is recommended to use...
