The closest player that you're going to get to what you are after is the Oppo BDP-83, which is still in a pre-order phase, but if you get on the list you would probably be able to get one in under a month. I have one in my AV rack and it's the same speed as the PS3 for menus and loading of disc...

I'm also looking for 24" LCD recommendations

I found that the price of the Dell, after tax is added in, compared to the price of the DoubleSight from Buy.com (with $15 off coupon, and Google Checkout) were so close that it made no difference, so I'm just waiting for Buy.com to get the DoubleSight back in at the end of this month or early...

X3350 / Q9450 Overclocking Thread

Well, if Buy.com would get it back in stock, I'd order one and post impressions (it will go along with my Dell 2005FPW), but they aren't going to get them back until the end of this month or early May I believe, but I'll order one when they do.

X3350 / Q9450 Overclocking Thread

My Q9450 finally arrived yesterday so I build my first new desktop system in a few years (have been running laptops for a while). I just changed the bus speed up to 400 for a quick OC to 3.2 with stock voltage on everything and started Prime95 before going to sleep. It ran fine for 9 hours...

What memory is a good match with Abit IP35 Pro?

The 64-bit version of XP can, just like the 64-bit version of Vista can, but the 32-bit versions can not.

24" Screens, Need Some Input!

For $600 now you can get a Dell 2408WFP, which would look nicer than the 24" TN panels out there, and has all the inputs you could want (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, Component). Since that is a little out of my price range, however, has someone that's seen both the G2400W and the 24"...

If I buy one of these with the intention of using it with a Q9450, I'll need another processor to flash the BIOS first, since it's not likely to ship with a BIOS that would support it, correct? That's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger...

Q9300 Mild Overclock Recommendation

What is your % body fat?

Our home scale (Tanita BC554) has 2 settings: regular and athlete. On the regular I'm 12-13.5%, depending on the day (I do it every morning and record it in Excel), but on the Athlete mode, I'm around 7-8%. Athlete mode is if you do 10+ hour of exercise work a week and a resting HR below 60...

Q6600 OC and Motherboard Choice

I'm not gaming on this, so I don't need SLI at all, and I'm not using it for home theater or anything like that at all. It'll be used for Stata/SAS, Excel, and photo editing mostly, so a higher clock speed with multiple cores will be beneficial, but spending almost $200 more for a motherboard...

Q6600 OC and Motherboard Choice

I'm building a new system and plan to get a Q6600 and OC it (my fiancee actually does things that uses multiple cores, which is why the Q6600 over the E8400). The motherboards I was looking at were the Abit IP35-E and the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L. Since I don't see a need for more SATA connectors...
