Pentium III Tualatin oc'ing

Although I agree generally that DDR is not worth it on P3, I still think a few points can be made. The P3 CPU FSB runs at 133, and the memory bus on a DDR board is 266 (effectively), so you would assume that extra 133 is wasted. But remember, this happens via the chipset's memory controller...

Sounds like bsobel was spot on. If you are looking in My Documents with Explorer for example, and there are no .inf files listed, that means the drivers you have are not ready to be installed. Do you see the drivers you downloaded from Explorer? If you do, you should find that they are either...

How much speed can the PCIbus take?

Although RAID 0+1 would be faster if you were after high throughput of large amounts of data, such as for video or audio work, RAID 5 I believe is comparable (or possibly better?) when you only need to fulfil high amounts of i/o requests such as a database server creates. So if you are at all...

Anyone have the technical explanation for mobo clock being inaccurate?

I have an Epox 8KTA3+ which gains about 15 minutes per month. Surely this goes beyond the explanations of using clock generators that don't quite have numbers that divide exactly to produce 100% accurate time... Could it be related to the fact the a lot of motherboards these days have all their...
