Using a SATA HDD on an old system

So I want to add a SATA drive for some extra DVR storage, but my mobo only has PATA. It is pretty old, doesn't even have PCIe. Looking for the cheapest method that doesn't severely compromise speed. I'll probably upgrade the system and keep this HDD in the next year.

BOSE AM3 Speakers 30% off- $199.99

I had the same thought. You can get used promedias for much less than the $199 that these go for. In fact, you can probably get used 4.1 (what I currently use) or 5.1 Promedias for around this price I cannot imagine that these speakers are the best that $199 can buy. /crap

As a student, I would definitely use this in my everyday life. It can do everything that I need: academic productivity, communications, the occasional music/movies. Since I'm going to med school next year, these would be invaluable for doctors, not only as a learning tool but as a possible...

Just upgraded to Firefox 1.5 - It won't open!!

I think firefox gets super unhappy when you try and install new versions on top of existing ones. My problem was solved by uninstalling firefox, deleting my profile, deleting the firefox folder, rebooting and re-installing. I still love firefox though

Did all of this...didn't work. Firefox still does not open. Tried another uninstall/reinstall. Still nothing. What the hell is wrong with this release and my computer?

What is the easiest way to move LARGE files from a PC to a Powerbook

thanks, I'll give those ftp apps a try. This isn't for transferring one 1GB file. This is for multiple transfers I see happening in the future
