nvidia dvd decoder

I've installed nvidia dvd decoder on my computer. Now I have several questions, 1) How do I adjust the setting? 2) Can i use this dvd decoder on other programs such as windows media player ? 3) How do I know some setting are activated? Please help. Thanks.

1) I got the card from EVGA 2)6600GT currently only has PCIe 3)$200 4)my definition of silent is quiet enough about 20 decible(passive would be better)
