Anyone have good experiences with the 9700 yet?

I wholeheartedly disagree with that assinine statement. I have been married 13+ years, just had my 1st child 5 months ago (boy!), and my life is far from over... I have (2) computers - (1) home system & (1) LAN system (specs are in MY Rig). My wife has (2) computers - (1) home system & (1) LAN...

Anyone have good experiences with the 9700 yet?

From the forums @ KC Beatdown I got the Radeon 9700. Just as quick as I bought , am I going to return it. The freaking ATI drivers...suck again. The display adapter is all screwed up and ATI Tech said they won't get it fixed for a few months. I couldn't play Battlefield 1942...

Boot disk for WIN2K???

I'm trying to flash the bios on my motherboard under win2k. I have the awdflash.exe & the new bios file, but how do I make the boot disk with only the essential files on it??? Windows ME had it as an option, as does Win XP. Where is the option to create a boot disk in win 2k???? :o

Best 17inch Flat Panel LCD for Games/DVDs ???

GarthMan; I think I saw posted in another LCD thread - it's on here but I can't remember which one - that you need to use the 21.83 drivers to get DVI to work properly. Let me/us know how it goes!!! PS: Where did you get your 8030 & how much did you pay??? Shipping cost???

LCD: Planar or Samsung?

ksdavis; Let me know how you do with the Planar 17.4 & DVI hook-up. I was just about to purchase one to go with my geForce 3 Ti 500 (Which has a DVI output), and ghosting would bother me if it's severe... keep us/me informed!!! Thanks.

badga; Thanks for your reply - it's nice to hear observations/opions from someone who's actually gone-through all the problems & actually HAS an LCD to speak from experience. I still haven't made-up my mind yet, but you've given me some great things to think about!
