The fan crapped out on my GF2 video card. It is a small DC brushless fan (12VDC) Its a PSC select w/ a model no. of pc1124510my1n. Does anyone know where I can find one? I would rather find just the fan to put back on the heatsink rather than replace the whole heatsink.
My buddy has a Packard Bell system. The hard drive crashed and instead of installing 95 which was on it, I installed 98SE. Now I cannot change from 16 colors to 256. He was able to use 256 w/ OS 95. I tried a number of different drivers but they all reverted back to 16bit. The system is the PB...

<< there are web pages that have guides on replacing your p/s fan. It doesnt matter what fan you put in there just so it is the same size. If it is quieter than you have nothing to worry about. >>
Is that in fact true? I've heard otherwise. It may be quieter but what if it isn't cooling...
I want to quiet down my pc if you can't tell from my HS post. I searched the forums for tips on fan replacement for power supplies but didn't come up with much. What kind of specs do I have to look at when looking for the right fan. I know they are generally 80mm, but what about other details...
Thanks for the info. One more quick question.... How often if at all do you guys clean up and reapply the thermal grease? Do you even do so, or do you do it the first time and thats it?
So will this SVC GC68 keep my 1ghz cool enough if I replaced the fan it comes w/, w/ a panaflo L1? As far as I can tell the fan it comes w/ is a decible less than what my orb is rated.
