Beginning from scratch

Welcome to the forums! My suggestion to you would be to take a look around at some of the guides that are located not only here in the forums, but around the internet. There is much useful information to be garnered if you do some research on it. I know I see multiple posts in this thread alone...

MMO Question

Thank you for the response, but perhaps I need to put in some clarity here. My issue is not really with whether or not I can inject any roleplaying into the experience as a whole, but whether the community/ies out there actually respond and interact in kind. I found in Guild Wars, for example...

MMO Question

Being a long time fan and player of text-based roleplaying games where (in my experience) the quality of roleplaying both from a player perspective and creator perspective is generally high, I am hesitant to make the leap to the MMO"RPG" communities. What I am curious about, and I figured here...

Xbox Live is very worth it. The games I recommend are Rainbow Six 3, Halo 2 and Mech Assault 2.

Best RTS that can be compared to Starcraft

Another vote for TA...that game was simply amazing. For "today's" graphics though, go Homeworld 2.

Overclocking

But to answer your question. Make sure your HT is set to lower than 5x if you are raising the FSB past 200Mhz. Set it to 4x or 3x, THEN adjust the FSB.
