should my western digital HD be clicking?

I have an 80Gig WD hard drive with an 8meg cache which was going along nicely until a few weeks ago when i booted up and heard about 6 or 7 clicks in a row almost right away. Ever since then I get clicking every now and then (only one or two clicks at a time). Should this be happening? Ive had...

usb scanners with auto document feeders

sorry for my slow response. addragyn thanks for the offer. unfortunately these scanners will be for work so i'd need 4 and am restricted to purchasing through specific channels which can be a BIG annoying time waster :( but thems the rules. may if theres a usb all-in-one with an auto doc...

can i save an nview profile?

I have set up a dual monitor profile with the nview software on one system, but i'd like to be able to save the profile to floppy because there are other systems that will need the same profile but are not on a network - is there any way to do this? thanks :)

thanks for the epson tip. that model is very difficult to get in my neck of the woods but i'll keep looking. I just wish canon would make some reasonably priced scanners with auto doc feeders and usb connectivity.

Could anyone recommend a decent usb scanner with an auto document feeder for less than AU$1,500? There doesnt seem to be much choice around other than the following: HP 7450C - I have one of these currently and it's VERY VERY VERRY noisy when scanning @ 200dpi and upwards. A disappointing...

log file analysers and tomcat

Are the log files from tomcat similar/the same to those from apache? Im looking into log file analysers and most of them say that they accept apache log files as input but no mention of tomcat log files.

dual display card question

Im trying to figure out what I need to set up a dual display with one CRT and one LCD monitor so but the more i look into it and talk to ppl and read posts the more confused I get. I want to run two completely different apps on each screen not just stretch the display. I have two main questions...

does cable quality help capture quality?
