New PC build, starts up, shuts down almost instantly..

I acctually had the same problem with my build. I was so desperate to find fix it, i was playing counter strike on my home computer and was talking about my problem, someone in the server told me to take out a stick of ram. I tried it and my computer booted up perfectly... RMA'd the ram and...

chassis intruded!

American Megatrends. No Keyboard detected! Chassis intruded! Fatal Error...System Halted. That is what happens when I try to start my computer, will go no further. When I go to boot the pc, the CPU fan shuts off after passing the Asus logo screen. A few weeks ago i spilled soda...

What do you guys think

These are the specs that I helped my friend pick out for his first build. I never worked with ATI cards and was wondering what you guys think about this build, and if that gpu will work with the mobo. My friend is on a 700$ budget, and the total cost of this is $670.00 + about $30.00 shipping...

Infinite cycle of rebooting..

Take your video card out and see if the computer will boot fine on the integrated graphics. If it does stay on, leave it on for a day or so, if it doesnt shut off its problably the gpu.

New Mobo, and sound card?

I own those 7.1 creative speakers, they put out great sound, but I cannot get the two side speakers to work, I know they work, but I think its either my sound card (augility 2 ZS) or something with the settings, I've tryed everything I can think of but I cant get them to work.

error message

When I try to run any asus programs for example Ai Booster, I get this message "Can't open AsIO.sys !! (2)" I searched that error on google to see if anyone had any related problems and I found nothing. I was wondering if anyone has ever had that error and if it has something to do with windows...

Computer Freezes at turn off

never happend to me before, but id try closing all your programs in task manager, close everything and then try to restart using that method, maybe a program isnt allowing you to shut down... You get those "end now" messages right?

ram question

my motherboard says "DDR 400 (PC 3200)" for the DDR standard in specs... if i have pc3200's but ocz is upgrading to pc 4000 because they screwed up my shipping on my rma, is that going to still work?, because i dont know what the PC 4000 stuff means. here is the ram they want to give me...

when i watched him put it together, the cpu fan/heatsink secure clip wouldnt even go over, if you force it, the mobo would crack, it was even hard getting the 2 side clips to hook on, i dont even think it will come off if he needed to, unless he bent the clips, he says PC probe says his cpu is 36c
