Brink release date announced

I've just purchased my copy from D2D with the 25% off code. Plugged that CD Key into Steam and preloaded it already. I sure hope it does well!

New to PC Gaming; recommendations?

Maybe The Witcher, since the sequel is coming out soon. I also like STALKER SoC and STALKER CoP. I never tried Clear Sky.

The AT Battlefield Bad Company 2 F.A.Q.

I noticed last night that there were yellow 'skulls' and gray 'skulls' in the server menu. The gray ones seemed to be Hardcore mode with maps on or FF off or whatever, while the yellow was your Hardcore mode with everything off and stuff. At least that's what I noticed.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call Of Pripyat

Nice pics. I really liked CoP, played vanilla. I skipped CS but played SoC through vanilla and with the Oblivion Lost mod. It took a little while to get used to the way artifacts are found in CoP, but I liked how they did the larger anomaly fields and stuff like that. The atmosphere is great...

It would be nice if they can add support for Thuban through a bios upgrade. It's silly, but at the top of the screen now, there is an ASRock ad about upgrading from 4 cores to 6 cores with their 860GX Extreme3 board. I just have to become a fan on their Facebook page and I can win it... I...

Thanks uli2000, that motherboard looks better than the asrock. For games and the other stuff I do, like photo editing and occasional 3d rendering, I bet this would be a nice upgrade from the old C2D E6300 I have now. I will probably talk myself out of upgrading though...if I did, then I'd have...

ATOT BFBC2 -The Tugboat Hut! Now 100 More In Dallas! Game Night Every Friday!!

That sucks. I got the game a week ago, so I'm just starting to get into it. I played BF 2142 for a while, so I know that DICE takes its time sorting out the bugs. I think the voice chat in-game should be one of their top priorities, and maybe the knife too.

8800 GTX to ATI 4550

http://service.futuremark.com/hardware/graphicsCardsList.action Maybe that chart helps, maybe not. I suppose it comes down to what the main usage of the rig is for. But like what Curse said, maybe that 450w PSU, depending on model and stuff, might not be the best thing to run that 8800 GTX...

ATI Catalyst 10.5 out today.....

I didn't really notice BC2 load time changes when I installed these, but I'm not sitting there with a timer. I forgot to turn on my 2nd monitor to test out the other fix, but since you guys say it's working, then I guess it's working.
