Is the AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE still relevant?

I am still running a Phenom II 955 and it runs everything very well. I just can't justify upgrading yet. I did upgraded my video card to a GeForce GTX Ti-660 and it runs great! I don't mean to promote another web site, but I find the CPU & GPU info on Tom's Hardware very helpful.

Be ready for a treat! I consider the original game as one of the most innovative games in the last 10 years. Portal 2 basically picks the story up and keeps moving forward. I am replaying Portal 2 right now. I really enjoy it! SO WORTH IT!

Max Payne 3

Definitely one of the more challenging games I have played. I play mostly 1st-person shooters, so it's an adjustment for me to do 3rd-person.

660 Ti vs HD 7950

Very similar performing cards when you average things out. I would go with the lower priced card. Either will MORE than meet your requirements.
