30" monitor

120+ Hz on TV's isn't a true 120Hz refresh rate, but a use of interpolation. This usually is detrimental to gaming performance as it introduces input lag.

Really odd ratio that will be on that particular monitor, it's almost 2:1. Seems like a strange choice, as I'm not aware of any source media that currently accommodates such a ratio. :\

[Tom's] New Seasonic Platinum PSUs incoming (Sept.)

Been using my X760 for about 6 months now. Absolutely wonderful PSU. Can't recommend Seasonic enough! I'm certain these platinum PSU's will be awesome as well and we should be seeing an update from Corsair follow shortly with Seasonic as their OEM.

I believe quality-control for backlight bleeding would be a manufacturing nightmare. From what I understand, the bezels play a big role in controlling backlight uniformity. Eliminate that, and it'd be very unpredictable on backlight behavior. Once OLED/QLED becomes the norm, all of this should...

I would dislike this quite a bit. 2.35:1 is great to view movies in their native ratio, but it would be horrible for computer work. We've already lost vertical real-estate moving from 16:10 to 16:9, we'd lose quite a bit more moving to 2.35:1 (47:20). You'd also need to bring up the size...

Will an AP 'grab' a stronger signal on the 5GHz band than a USB adapter?

Thank you for the response, Jack. Any programs out there that will track SNR on the 5GHz band? Also, do you happen to have a recommendation for a Wireless AP. Should I go with Netgear for better compatibility?

Yes, I'm aware of the limitations of the 5GHz band over 2.4GHz, and it makes me sad :(. Just wondering if an AP will be able to pull more from the wireless signal than my current USB adapter. The signal has to travel a total of about 20 feet, but the walls/flooring is obviously a deterrent...
