Temps have really bumped up.......

Yes these are idle temps. This is on a reload of my OS as well as the new hardware, so I haven't been able to run any games as yet. I'll post again if it gets way high under load. Yes, I did put the setting in Catalyst up to max for fan speed. I do hear the fans all right, but it's not too...

Temps have really bumped up.......

Since I installed a pair of Sapphire 4800's, temps have gone up some 15-20 C. Currently, MB is 54C, processor is 49C and the boards are 54C and 50C respectively. Question is, are these high enough to cause big problems, or acceptably hot? I've an Antec P180 case with 4 fans plus the fans...

Well both cards are GeForce 7950 GT's on an ASUS P5Q Delux MB. They were both working fine (I think) and had been in the system for over a year. Recently, I started getting random lockups that got so bad, I couldn't even boot in safe mode. Decided to reload Vista, switching from 64 bit to 32...

Is SLI enabled?

I recently reloaded my rig with Vista Home Premium, noted new nVidia drv's and so used them as well. I noted that both cards are listed in device manager and are working. Bridge is in place across them. However, in nVidia Control Panel, under 3D settings, there's no enable/disable SLI heading...

SATA connections on my P5Q

I'm trying to hook up a sata hd into 1 of the 2 sata connectors, designated SATA E1 and E2, the orange and white connectors near the bottom of the MB. According to the manual, they are Silicon 5723 connections. I can't seem to get bios to recognize the drive. What is it that I'm overlooking...

So, I switched out the heatsink fan with another I had and now the temp runs at around 47-50C. Still a bit hot methinks but is this acceptable?

I put together a very cheap MB/CPU for my grandaughter. I mean really cheap.......... CPU is running about 76 C which is big time hot I know. But, could this be the reason for having this system constantly spontaneously rebooting itself? It'll do so after about 15-20 minutes or so. A couple...

So far, memtest is unremarkable, disabling autorun has no effect, disabling SLI had no effect, upgrading firmware on the Plextor had no effect. Robert

Another Audigy 2 ZS sound problem

AGP stays at zero
