Asus Commando - user experiences ?

I have the Commando and its been awesome! Running right now with my C2D 6400 @ 3.5 (500*7) 1:1 with my Patriot memory. No issues, no buzz, no problems. Board is rock solid!

Best OC on a FX-55 San Diego?

My FX-55 San Diego is happily running along @ 3087 (257*12) @ 1.56v. Its being cooled with water (MCW6002, (2) Maze4 blocks on my 6800GT's, BIP3 rad, and AquaXtreme 50Z pump). Idle temps are about 38 and full load about 50.

ATI X800XL Price Overcharging

I paid $573 yesterday for the 850XT PE. Cheapest I found it was a allstarshop. Its oem, but who cares about the pretty box!

Ordered the Saphire 850XT PE today from www.allstarshop.com for $589. I sold my old 6800GT AGP for $379 so there was a slight price penalty, but hey! It should be here on Thursday...

XP-120 on MSI K8N Neo4 SLI Platinum

You will loose the 1st dimm slot. The heatpipes have to go towards the RAM slots. The bank of capacitors towrds the I/O ports get in the way.

pc3200 2-2-2-5 or pc3700 2-3-3-8 for oc?

I originally had these chips in my system and was very disappointed in them. At stock 200 FSB, they would NOT run 2-2-2-5 even though they are basically the same chips and PCB that the Rev 2 uses. Instead, they will only run at 2-3-3-8 at stock speeds. As far as pushing it, I could only get them...

FYI: Neo2 Plat and BFG OC..increase agp voltage may help any issues

I noticed the same thing with my PNY 6800GT! With my old P4 2.8C @ 3.5 and Asus P4C800-E, I could run my card at Ultra speeds with no problems (400/1100). Never had a problem. With the new setup I had to decrease my core to 375/1100. Anything above 375 the computer will lock up during...

New 2.8C SL6Z5 just arrived!!!

Recieved my new 2.8C M0 SL6Z5 and as of right now, she is burning in at default vcore and running at 250 fsb (3.5ghz). Will let it run here for a few days than maybe try taking her up more. Before anyone asks, I ordered this from the UK and had it shipped here. Paid $280 with shipping, but oh...

Abit IC7-Max3 or Asus P4C800-E Deluxe

I have had 2 Max3's and both had problems. They are very flaky with vdimm as the measurements seem to go sporadic. However, my P4C800-E has had none of those problems. I did the simple 5 minute vdimm mod and now have voltage options up to 3.15 and it doesn't seem to have issues with 1:1 either...

OCZ customer support =)

OCZ tech support is superb! When I first bought 2 sets of the PC3700 EL Gold Dual Channel kits, I wasn't happy that they wouldn't run at last DDR500 as all the review sites were hitting with them. Contacted Ryan over there and he immeditely overnighted me a set of the PC4000 EL Gold Dual Channel...

Actually, the IC7/G has a 255 fsb limitation @ 1:1! You can use a program like SoftFSB to accomplish higher, but that is more of a nusense (sp?) than anything... With the right RAM and a quick 20 minute vdimm mod, you can run 285 1:1 at 3.05 volts with ease... I know I said I was going to do...

They are running at 2.5/3/3/8 Unbuffered is over 3500 and buffered is over 6400!
