Yup, my sister decided to get a mac, but it's been going off the router for years without this much of a horrible problem. I could be persuaded to smash in the middle of the street if it's screwing things up, heh...

Well, got the E2500 and it's still disconnecting. Whether or not the WRT was faulty, it's pretty safe to assume the disconnect problem is not because of a faulty router. I guess all I can do is try to flash a better firmware than default?

Well, I get roughly 2.1 MB/s on download speeds. So I guess that's a little under 20 Mbps. I never understood why they can't do the math and stop using bit numbers, heh. Yeah, the WRT54GL looks like a good one in the eyes of the consumer, I'm just worried about it being at least 8 years old...

Any other suggestions for a quality router then? Probably going to be using 1-10 wireless devices on it at any given time of day. Don't really want to go overboard on the price...

Mine is a Linksys router. I've had it for a while, and it occasionally disconnected at times, but now it's getting retarded during the day. I guess I'll check about the firmware idea. I don't think I've ever updated it.

AMD vs Intel

Yeah, if you had to go with AMD, it wouldn't matter a whole bunch. It looks like Intel gets better performance over all, but I got stuck with a FX-8350 that is working pretty well. I upgraded from an FX-8120, with the same 780gtx card, and got almost 50% more fps out of it. As far as...

Opinions on AMD FX-9590 220W?

Okay, well as a result to this. I got the FX-8350 chip, I slapped it in with the regular fan, have not tried to overclock or anything. I did a benchmark with PCMark 8, and apparently I went from 43 fps with the 8120 to 62 fps with the 8350. So yes, the 8120 was choking the life out of the 780...

Good cooling for FX-8350?

Is there much danger of liquid leaking out? I've never used one, but I've heard people say it's happened in the past. Not sure if it's a valid concern or not, but my CPU is physically at the top of the tower. So if it were to leak, it's going all over my GPU and PSU...
