Why only 4-way CF/Quad SLI?

The market for a 4 card gaming setup is already tiny, no reason to spend time on allowing more cards. As mention earlier, you can go higher in non gaming applications. Large multi GPU setups for folding are not uncommon.

Tressfx: A new frontier of realism in pc gaming

It's nice to see something trying to replace PhysX. Basing eyecandy on one brand isn't something that should be used in big budget titles. I would have loved it if it was on OpenCl, but I guess DX11 based is better than nothing. Looking forward to seeing some benches and how Nvidia compares...

PCPer on Crossfire problems in the Titan review

Oh well, I guess there was a reason Techreport did not want to use FRAPS with SLI/Crossfire. Lucky me for being happy with 1080p@60Hz and not owning SLI/Crossfire to drive a huge display setup.

Should the mods get more strict on this board?

A bit of a hard comment, but yeah some members seem to know where the line is and make a living on the forum derailing threads and trolling. EDIT: I think [H] vs. Anand forum is about personal taste and _really_ depends on the section of the forum.

good gpu match for a e2200 c2d

I would look into overclocking or replacing the CPU, Tribes Ascend lists a 2.4 GHz C2D as minimum.

The E series should hit 1.65/1.7 for now :-( A delay in 32 nm fabs is said to have made AMD cancel 32 nm bobcat version and continue with the 40 nm versions we know now, until they can launch a new version on 28 nm. Aka, we only get a small speed bump until 28 nm, and that is still some time away.

Why are RISC CPUs more common in game consoles?

Yeah, that one slipped in. <cough> <cough> You are right, small thread derail. #topic I think Cerb hit the nail on the head. + it is harder for consumers to grasp the actual performance level, when the console does not use a standard x86 CPU.

Is the A10-4600M and i7 processors with HD4000 even in the same price range? Jarred writes about 600$ laptops, but the only 3720QM laptop that I found in a quick newegg search was a tricked out $2100 ASUS G75. I know the 3720QM is not the cheapest of the lineup, but if manufacturers insist on...
