Views on the X-Box - also will it be emulated?

true - i guess its fairly obvious that it will be emulated, I just thought we might see something real soon due to the hardware similarities

Hi all Id like to hear some views on this mchine as it is yet to go sale here in the UK. How does it shape up to a monster PC?? p.s Seeing as the X-Box is based on PC technology, wont emulators appear reasonably quickly???

What's the most QUIET cooling fan for T-Bird at 1.5 GHz?

Win2k Poor Framerate?!?

I did take the acpi off once, changed the driver to standard pc.....the comp rebooted and it was like safe mode...also it wouldnt let me install any drivers properly, i had to revert back.....

i tried 'everything'!! in the end at a last gasp attempt i tried the nvidia refresh rate fix.....and it worked!! woohoo performance easily on par with win98!!!

ive been looking around for winXP on IRC.......maybe ill find it tonight. There are so many different leaked beta versions tho! i thikn bete 2495 is the latest ive seen. I downloaded internet explorer beta 2495 from m3dzone.com.....a nice new pastel shaded icon and some new prompts...mmmmm...

Win2k Poor Framerate?!?

right, last night split my hard drive into two 14.5 gig partitions. win ME on one, Just installed win2k on the other.....ill try all the suggestions tonight and see what happens thanks guys! p.s 'Also, have you set up com_hunkmegs, com_soundmegs, com_zonemegs, etc.?' im not too sure what...

damn im gonna reformat and try the amd patch! It just seems that many users favour win2k......so it must be possible for good 3d performance...especially with a graphics card that cost me 300 quid! hehe

I have heard that athlons perform considerably worse than Intel chips in win2k.....but I also hear the gap has closed a little....

the ASUSA7M266 only needs 3 via drivers as it uses the AMD761 chipset. The AGP driver I have to get from AMD..
