Gigabyte Motherboard Caught on Fire!!!

It could have been the video card drawing too many amps through the PCIe socket or a loose connection in the slot. Possibly a bad trace on the video card PCB. Increased resistance, high current equals heat. Enough to cause the scorching and burning. It is very difficult to say with 100%...

What do you do for a living?

I am a packaging shift supervisor for America's Oldest Brewery, Yuengling and part time computer hobbyist. 12 hour shift, 3-4 days per week.

Plan on having a big BBQ picnic this Sunday. Fresh, homemade cole slaw, BBQ chicken, marinated and BBQ Pork Loin, and I am going to try to use some of the bounty of zucchinis from our garden. All cooking is to be done over hard wood (if the weather cooperates!)

The TeAm's Great BBQ Recipe Compendium

Tomorrow will be our first 2013 BBQ. Marinating a pork loin in an orange/lime juice base with some basic spices (garlic/cumin/ginger/pepper.) Also going to try a baked bean dip (Refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar and jack cheeses.) Hopefully the weather cooperates. Cheers!

Yes, soaking in water with the the husks on helps steam the corn and prevent burning. I usually leave them over the fire until the outer leaves start to turn brown.
