No DVD Playback in Media Player

If that's the case a few bucks should solve my problem! In the absence of any other suggestions in the next hour or so I will upgrade to the latest power dvd. Thanks.

I have version 2 of pwer DVD which is not XP compatible. I've tried it but it doesn't work, even in compatibility mode.

Tried it and got the following message "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

I've installed Win XP Home addition and can't play DVD's in Media Player. Graphics card is a Geforce2 GTS. Everything worked fine in with WIN98 and Power DVD. Media Player does not seem to recognize my DVD drive (Pioneer 116) although it is identified and functioning properly in device...

Main benefit is easy access to a large variety of inputs and outputs for you system, plus a remote control which makes it possible to operate some apps and play music without being at your computer.

AMD and M/B recommendations

My recommendation is Abit or Asus. Avoid raid unless you need it - it consumes resources, and makes setting up the board more difficult. The crushing problem is related to the attachment of certain colling devices. You'll find plenty of info relating to good colling solutions for amd's on...

New Computer Building Woes: CD ROM Help!

If the hard drive was previously used in an Intel based system you may have to force windows to recognize all the hardware (forget all previous harwaqre, then load the latest official 4in1 drivers.
