For an OS like Win7 on NTFS, wow many copies of the MFT are stored on a HDD?

Why do printer companies allow their cartridges to be refilled?

If printer companies like HP make up to 40 per cent of their profit, in their consumer division, selling ink. Why did these companies not invent a mechanism whereby no non-original cartridges or refills could NOT be used? This has always intrigued me.

Explain this one...

Problem: You have a desktop PC that does not turn on when the power button is pushed. No fans. No LEDs on mobo. Then after a couple of hours the power button would be pressed and the PC turns on.

Explain this one...

A desktop PC. You press the power button. Nothing at all happens. Leave it a couple of hours. It turns on perfectly. I have never understood this phenomena...have you ever comes across this...what causes it?

Why is FAT32 still used in so many memory devices?

BTW, Mark - should users just reformat their 32GB memory sticks or camera cards as NTFS as soon as they buy them? (assuming they have supporting OS's)

Why is FAT32 still used in so many memory devices?

FAT32 does not have a great reputation. Why do memory manufacturers insist on using FAT32 for their 32GB, 64GB flash memory devices?
