Poll: Do you currently suffer from Scrolling, Flickering Horizontal lines (especially with Radeon 9xxx)

My Radeon 9700Pro has "steaming waves" at 1280x1024 resolution. :( Changing to 1152x864 fixed the problem. :) Fortunately, I have a CRT monitor instead of LCD, so I got many good resolutions to choose. Those who have an LCD monitors that can only do 1280x1024 nicely might suffer from the...

What are you talking about? UN and Congress only said if it is necessary, force should be used. Bush is currently trying to prove it is necessary, other countries is trying to prove it is not necessary. UN never gave any "go ahead", otherwise the war would have be started long time ago...

9900 3dmarks for 9700pro

The video card's power will only be unleashed if you get a fast CPU, and higher FSB. I am at 192 FSB, Athlon 2100+@2.3G, my 3DMarks2001 scores 17000+.

A7N8X "Save and Exit" Death Syndrome

Before, even the fan wan't spining on bootup. Now, after replacing the battery, the fan spins. There is no beep sound during bootup, so I got no video at all. Press the "DEL" key doesn't help since I didn't get a successful post yet.

LOL on you. IF Gainward are so successful on cooling as they claimed, we don't need any CPU, GPU coolers anymore, just put several "human heartbeat" fan in your case, they will work as perfect as water cooling. Gainward just renovate and introduce a whole new generation of air cooling, if that...

It looks like the FX Ultra really is dead!!

Why not spend $40 more to get a 9700Pro or same price for a 9700 non-Pro, they are much faster than the 5800 non-Ultra one.

A7N8X "Save and Exit" Death Syndrome

I replaced the stock one with a SONY 3V battery, no go. Fan starts spinning on boot, but still no video. :( Anyone has any idea on flashing the CMOS besides what has stated in the menu by using the jumper?

Radeon 9700Pro has problem over 200FSB even after locked AGP BUS

Antec TruePower 430W. I don't think it is the power supply, sometimes if the MB is dead deep enough, the fans won't spin too. Check similar problem here too A7N8X BIOS problem? Read this! Since it is dead upon a "save and exit", I will buy a new battery of 3.3v today, and try to fix it one last...

Radeon 9700Pro has problem over 200FSB even after locked AGP BUS

I got no beeps. Fan was spining, no video. After 10+ times of repeatitive clearing CMOS, the fan is NOT even spinning now. It is getting to the point that press the power button/unplug power cord does nothing now. :(

If it is the battery causing this problem. I suggest everyone change theirs now if they have the same type of battery as mine. Since it already happened to at least three people as far as I know. This board has been working perfectly with me in the last two month. I read about the battery...
