HP Pavilion a1130n nic issues

Yup, tried neighbors modem with cat5, same results. My personal thoughts are something is up with bios. I guess they are happy running usb for internet to modem, so probably good enough for them. But me being as anal as I am, puzzles like this, drive me crazy.

No log in on Windows ME

Put an ME box on p2p network. I can not share files etc because it is requiring a network login at windows start up. How do I get the login screen to appear at windows startup? TIA Copyfixer

If you are using XP, go to control panel and file something (don't remember the exact name) it is there where you change the file associations. From there you can select the program to open *.bik extensions. I am not sure which program uses these extensions.

IBM PCCAMERA TROUBLE

Using 98SE and this xirlink webcam (AKA Veo Stingray) comes up with a user buffer error. It was working b4 I loaded new software onto computer. Mfgr site says to load sysutility.exe at a site which is no longer. Tried contacting mfgr, no good. Anyone have this file or a link to it??

Just got a 64mb cdcyclone usb pen drive. Laptop XP finds it perfectly. 98SE desktop is looking for drivers. I downloaded and installed 98 program from cyclone site, same thing will not go into 98. Since then I have found this is the same as IBM 4002 pen drive. Can't find driver on...

Botched 2000 pro install

I have an older P3 computer that was running 98SE. I was fine and happy with it, but since everyone in the office is running 2k I decided to upgrade to that OS. The trouble is that instead of updating, it loaded 2K as a dual boot and I did not want that. So I deleted the winnt folder...
