GTX 670 NDA dropping at Midnight?

I guess this didn't happen yet? Can't wait for the mid-range 600* releases, GTX680 is just a little more than I need on my new Ivy Bridge system.

nVidia vs. ATI - Driver Quality?

Thanks guys. I think I've got plenty of opinions now, and am forming a rough opinion in my mind. I'm probably going to go with nvidia since their linux drivers are noticeably better by seemingly everyone's account. However, I *might* get ATI if they have the right card at the right price.

OK I should have expected a bunch of fanboy posts, and so far it's not as bad as it might have been, so thanks everyone for being cool :-) I'll look out for other posts, but so far I'm hearing "nvidia might be slightly better, but driver quality is not that big of a factor in the decision"...

Heheh BF3 and BC2 are exactly what I play. I read that they support about 100 games, and they're working on BF3 support. I found that encouraging. I guess it isn't that important though. Thanks for the input guys.

Does What I want Exist?

You probably want a dedicated box like a roku or apple TV that supports wifi, and just teach her how to use it. If by chance you actually want to literally send it from another PC and not buy a dedicated box like a Roku, as in you literally already have a wired ethernet connection going to that...

Heavy Wifi Use Disconnects?

When using wifi on my laptop at home, it usually stays connected just fine when browsing websites & such. However, when I do any kind of heavy operation, like download or upload a large file from my SMB file server, there's about a 30-40% chance that Wifi will disconnect, taking around 60-120...

I guess I exaggerated a little - while I admit that the PC is intended for gaming, I can't say I have never ever done anything heavy before - it is true that I might in the future try out a VM occasionally for fun, or encode/convert some video, or something like that. I agree it won't benefit...
