Just looked at the specs, the G series one, has a light source rating of 50,000 hours (typical) as opposed to the X series one which is 40, 000 hrs (typical) the X series has larger 2 x 2.5watt speakers G series has 2 x 2watt speackers The g series has volume and mute buttons on it wher...

Best Game Music

civ4 music is pretty good... but i really loved the music to homeworld, really added to the feel of the game! :)

Is it worth getting an lcd w/ a dead pixel, even if it is much cheaper?

i wouldn't recoment it as it is something you are gonna see every time you use the computer.. but it is up to you.. have a look at it and see how noticable it is... personally i think i would find it annoying and would rather spend the extra $100

web cam.. and microphones...

i have found that a headset with mic is much better cos you don't get feddback from the speakers into your mic when the person you are listening to speaks and it comes out heaps clearer. :) i chat to a friend overseas and use skype see www.skype.com and it is great. for a webcam i just...

Digital TV tuners users?

hi all... i have a Aver tv DVB-T (digital tv tuner) and it uses around 40% of cpu time on an Athlon XP3200+ (paired with a geforce 4 4200). I was wondering if all digital tv tuners have high usage or if others do most of the processing on the card itself... thanks all :)

Compact Flash Memory cards, any difference between brands?

HI all, just looking at purchasing my first digital camera (looking at a canon A95) and want to get either a 512Mb or 1Gb CF card. Question is are all CF cards the same or they difer model to model, seem some prices on LEmar and Kingston CF cards. Are either of these any good? ANy...

Installing new hard drive - extremely slow file copying

How are the drives setup? is one the master and the other a slave to it on the same ide channel? if so then you can only read OR write at a time.. which will slow things down heaps... Also make sure both are set Ultra DMA mode (and not PIO).

Intel Quietly Starts to Offer 64-bit Pentium 4 Processors

Well it doesn't make much sense for Intel to tell everyone they need 64 bit processors when they don't have one ready to ship? Once they are ready then expect there advertising department to tell you that you have to have one. :)
