Only concerns with the TRUE is that in a few tests it did not perform well because the base of the TRUS is smaller then the i7 chip heat spreader... The folks above who mention using the TRUE, is this ture? (no pun intended.)

These rae both about $60, but in some reviews the Megaleham wins by 3 degrees in a 3.6 i7 overclock, but Thor's Hammer looks more Enthusiast and uses HDT versus the Heat Plate. Thoughts, opinions?

DDR3 Memory

Hold on now, so the are the 1.65v RAMs above safe? or do I need to do more tweaking? I ask because the corsair module has a nive 8-8-8-24 cas and is only $79 after MIR w/ free shipping Definitely want 1600 becuase by now, 1600 is as cheap as 1333 (corsair xms3 ddr3 1333 is $74)

Which is the best? Or, does it matter? I am a fan of Corsair and I know they Are usually rated the highest. I am looking to add 6 gigs of 1600 to a PC with 3 gigs of 1333 already. If all are good, should I focus simply on best price? Will the 1600 be clocked down to the 1333 3 gig kit? If...

LGA 1366 Socket Haetsink/Fans

What choices does one have for upgrading the stock i7 HSF if one plans to overclock? Newegg only has a Noctua 1366 socket HSF. Seems okay, but would like to know a little more. I plan to try and take the i7 to 3 - 3.2 ghz for the OC and want to be certain I have the right cooling option...

Interesting. I wonder then too if the Nvidia toolset for oc'ing the GPUs will work on SLI. Thanks for the replies/.

If I have two OC'd gtx260s, will SLI work in tandem at the OC rate or will or will clock down to stock? Also, if one is OC'd more then the second, which needs to be in the first pci slot?

mixed bag then. corsair is great. OCZ, G.Skill could be dice roll. my funds are limited so will have to roll the dice and then upgrade. can alsways run MEmtest 86 to test. thanks to all

Overclocking a Chip and RAM

this is all very useful. was only thinking to try to go to around 3.2 ghz , but will still need an after stock HSF. Good to know I am not RAM limited at least, but obviously need to do more homework so I don't fry my chip and/or machine. Then it's on to OC'ing my GTX 260.
