I have a Corsair CMPSU-750TX, Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard, and Intel 520 240GB SSD.
When I have just a single Intel 520 SSD installed, running Window 8, it makes it through boot, flashes the log-in screen, then power cycles.
It doesn't seem to matter which SATA data port I use on...
I will check tonite. It should still be whatever default the PS3 ships with.
I also might have to consider a new receiver (this one was a used gift from a friend).
My gear:
Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch LCD
Samsung HT-Z310 receiver and 5.1 speakers w/built-in DVD player
Playstation 3
Current setup is:
PS3 -> HDMI -> TV
HT-Z310 DVD -> HDMI -> TV
TV -> Optical Out -> HT-Z310 receiver
HT-Z310 receiver -> 5.1 speakers
What works:
Full 5.1 sound when using...
I've "finished" Fallout 3 in that I've completed the endgame quest, but I missed certain things like paradise falls. Then again it's getting a tad repetitive so perhaps I'll move on to New Vegas soon.
Thanks all!
Does anyone have a PC Game suggestion for me?
My current favs are TF2 and Fallout 3 (no xpacks). Old old favs on sega genesis were Phantasy Star IV and Shining Force 2 (I'd love a new Shining Force game on PC :) ).
I'm considering Fallout: New Vegas, but I still have more to explore in...
How does this, especially with the new firmware, compare to the Vertex 2?
Anandtech's bench shows they're almost even except in the 4k aligned iometer test - and the agility 2's figures were from an older bios, I believe.
No threadcrap offense taken!
Actually I was going to doubt this drive as being too new, but a similar and celebrated drive the Vertex 2 90GB is also down to $169.99 after MIR!
Could be! But back in 2009 they were king of the hill. There's a lot more very capable competition these days, especially sandforce-1200 drives like the vertex 2.
