I've tried various atheros drivers going all the way back to 4.1.1.6 and still has issues. No luck unfortunately. For now I'm using the ethernet to bridge to a linux running AP, but it doesn't have near the range the pci card has, but it's better then freezing. I'd actually like to keep the VSTA...
Unfortunately no, it is not better in every respect :( I know because I'm using one right now. And it freezes quite often because it's not compatible with my wireless card just like several other VIA chipsets (others have been having the same problem, freezing that goes away when wireless pci...
It's got HT support in the BIOS, but the little insert indicates to me it is not quite perfect yet, that would tell me probly A0. I have now OC'ed the mobo now though, and I am happy with it even though I don't use HT. Pulling a stable 165fsb with my crappy pc2100 ddr, been running folding@home...
Alright... I said I would put some marks up on how this thing is doing but first I stopped to fufil another request, whether the SINXP1394 from newegg.com is a0 or b0 stepping and..... I have no flippin clue. I've tried every software diagnostic method I can think of and short of pulling the...
Ladies and Gents, I would very much like to point your attention to Ebay.com as there is now a SinXP1394 board for sale there, and though the buy it now price is insane, if ebay has it, it's gotta be out there ^^
follow the link...
A0 stepping does support hyperthreading, but there are a few unstable instances, which Gigabyte would not/could not tell me over the phone, they said A0 is stable with BIOS flash though.
I may end up doing it out of desperation, I just cooked the system I had (see signature) was installing new blocks and then my thumb slipped and broke capacitors off the board (stupid placement >< ), got a 2.66 p4 and an ECS P4VXAD v3 for cheap, only problem is, it's defective and I need a...
Was this just at newegg.com or did you try the ones on pricewatch? If was both i'm kind of dissapointed, but glad too, $320 is a little crazy for a mobo.
Heh, unavailable you say? check the link, a bit pricy for my tastes atm though.
http://castle.pricewatch.com/search/search.idq?qc=%22SINXP%22*+AND+%40totalcost%
actually that link failed due to timeout so just go to pricewatch.com and search for sinxp.
