Nope. I wont be looking at Skylake, Kaby Lake, or even Zen. I already have a LGA 1150 H97 motherboard. I can still buy a very, very capable i7 or Xeon E3 without having to buy DDR4 RAM and a new motherboard. Marginal returns after the 8th hardware thread are really, really small in games...

$550 is an excellent price for the HTC 10. I bought it at full price and I think it was worth it, but I can see how it can be a tough sell for others, especially those who don't live in the US. The phone is a must if you have higher impedance and/or higher quality headphones that see bottlenecks...

Clarification - Does TDP correspond to maximum gaming load power or not?

The obvious answer: not everyone is an enthusiast. Not everyone has a case that can handle 250W+ of graphics card heat. Not everyone has great PSUs either. Performance is great, but that joy is significantly stymied when it comes at the cost of much worse efficiency.

It came at the cost of DX11 performance, and thus a massive tumble in market share. Seeing how Pascal can just use brute force to keep the leads in Async games, AMD still isn't the clear winner of DX12 yet.

AMD Raven Ridge 'Zen APU' Thread

What AMD really needs to work on before concerning itself with L4$, EDRAM, or HBM2 on the CPU package/die is to upgrade the APU's IMC. The current one in Steamroller is terrible, with it getting around 1/2 the bandwidth that a similar Haswell CPU gets at the same frequencies.
