Apple forces manufacturers to stop making Zenbooks...

Archos, Zune, Zen...they are all out there, buy what you want. The only reason I can think of that people own iPods is that they like them. They were not forced, coerced or in any other way led to believe that they couldn't buy something else. They just (as any good company would) put themselves...

If I were you, I might contact the university IT dept...do you have a static IP or are you DHCP? It sounds like an IP Address conflict to me...

Anyone want to decrypt this error message?

I'm not totally sure on this...so anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...but it sounds like you have an ActiveX script locking you down...probably something malicious. I get this message on my WinXP Pro machines that are behind my firewall / content filter when they are being filtered...

Microsoft is bloatware as well....yes. I am in total agreement. Unfortunately I am not enough of a geek (read "not intelligent enough at command line programming") to use Linux, or I would.
