After some thought...One advantage with the same brand reader-writer is the same media compatability for both drives.

NOT the 3520a... DVD-ROM...The 5800 Edit; However if the 3500 is anything like the 5800 I'll take a Plextor ANY day. Edit; More specifically...the 5800 would not read fuji -rw disks the plextor had no trouble with...(written w/;22717-PI errors & 0-PO errors)

Plextor does not make one... LG is hobled by lack of +R & +RW capability... Tried NEC...Noisey & media sensitive... Am thinking; Pioneer Toshiba Samsung Anybody got experience with theese or others that they like? Thanks, D
