Bob Lutz: Chevrolet Volt may cost close to $40,000

Think of it this way. GM WANT to be first! If that means the car will cost closer to 40k than 30k so be it, but that is what it takes to be first. Enviromentalist will LOVE IT at any cost!! It wont get wide spread appeal at 40k but after it is released expect GM to start working on making it...

Mean Toyota "Camry" from down under

Lets see. I could get a RWD, 360hp 6L V8 (LSx based V8), 6 speed auto OR manual sedan. Or a RWD, Turbocharged 330hp 4L I6, 6 speed auto OR manual sedan. Both are cheaper than the Toyota by $5-7k. Let me think about that....... well, no thinking needed really. Go away toyota :roll: Oh...

2004 [GM] Holden Torana TT36 Concept

Only loosely. It has Kappa suspension, everything else has been made wider/longer. It is rumoured this is now a new chassis within GM called 'Beta'. Currently it is believed it will be built (IF it goes into production) in the US, but another factory maybe built in Australia if there is expected...

If you think that the current Pontiac GTO looks like a little biznatch, check this out

Apparently the engine is a 6.35L LS7, but the power is currently debatable as currently most sources say it has 500hp, but one thing by GM says 575hp :Q. It is believe that this car is to 'gauge public reaction' for future vehicles ;). It is also believed the GM are currently doing a feasibility...

The GM A6 is still 1-2 years away sadly. This one will have to do for now. The the base 6L engine is expected to put out 400hp.
