That makes no sense. It makes sense to compare the 28W 8559U to the 25W setting because the power is similar and the CPU performance is similar. If you compare the 28W 8559u to the Ice Lake at 15W you get similar GPU performance and much lower CPU performance. It's a much less clear comparison.

So MPC-HC is still unofficially active is it safe to use though? Would you trust it?

Definitely safe to use MPC-HC. It would take VLC many years of work to reach the quality of MPC-HC even if that receives no further development. MPC-BE is probably the best alternative if you want something that is actively developed.

Task manager memory use reporting (Win10)

I have a Windows 10 system with 16GB Ram. Firefox is reported as using 1GB. If you switch to reporting percentages, Firefox is using 12.5%. 1GB is not 12.5% or 16GB. What is causing the factor of 2 difference?

Why does Microsoft "give up"? (WHS, Media Center, Windows Phone, etc.)
