4gb on buddies new computer, 2gb on my computer, 1 gb on the r9800 computer all same thing. basically windows shows up instantly when you hit the windows key but you cant move your mouse or do anything until after the flicker which is a second later. (2-3 if CCC is installed) winamp...

I should have made that clear. my bad ALT Tabbing is fine with Ati cards. Alt tabbing in and out of full-screen Games however... is where the problem is. normally you hit your windows key or alt tab out of your game, windows instantly appears, but windows is frozen for a few seconds...

It probably depends on your setup to some extent. Buddy and I went through the trouble of testing this on 7 different video cards with 4 different systems, over a 1 week time span to get to the bottom of it. that's how annoyed we were with the issue. if a system from 2001, and 2003 can...

Q9450 or Q9550?

I'm gonna be getting 6400 DDR2, so 400 will be my limit. I don't want to go too crazy hehe! Just enough to throw in that little extra pinch for games. I do a lot of adobe photoshop work / video encoding, that's the whole reason I went from the E8600 to the Q9550 in the first place. I guess...

let me clarify a bit. lets say you have 2 processors running at 3GHZ CPU1 = 400x7.5 CPU2 = 333x9.0 would games run faster on CPU1? from what I've personally seen in the past, it seems some tasks benefit from a higher multiplier and others from the higher FSB. maybe some one...

I know one thing for sure, there's a bunch of nit pick issues that some people get annoyed by with ATI. Alt tabbing is incredibly slow with a screen flicker, dragging videos around on your screen leave trails. CCC causes problems with people using G15 keyboards, macros are slow and delayed...

This is really getting on my nerves, I cannot get or find a straight answer from anywhere, so lets try here. Are LCD screens in charge of or process specific input information that is fed into the computer? You'd think ALL input information, keyboard and mouse, is processed by the computer...

annoying issue with video..

Any time I load or Exit a game, I get a 2 second freeze, and at the end of the freeze, the screen blinks and I hear a quick crackle from the speakers during that blink, then everything is normal.... This same issue is also present when i alt tab in AND out of games, this is Extreemmmly...
